Sounds of This Place: Swakopmund, Namibia

We happened upon a local church choir giving a free performance in a city plaza last weekend.  I didn’t have my iPod with me for the usual recording, but I didn’t think you’d mind some video accompaniment.  Merry Christmas!

(Now who can name the tune of the song in English?  It’s driving me crazy…)

  1. Cool beans. Can’t help with your question, though, doesn’t sound familiar to me. Happy Holidays!

    1. I hope you and S. had a wonderful Christmas! Guess what we found today… Casa Fiesta green enchilada sauce and taco shells! New Year’s Feast coming up!!! :o)

  2. Bread of Heaven, often sung in Welsh, at the Rugby! Happy Christmas, wish we were there!

    1. Thanks! On Facebook another friend reported she knows a hymn called “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah” is also sung to this tune! (PS Just arrived in Maun… looking forward to finally seeing some of the pans and camps you’ve posted about!)

      1. Have a great trip to Botswana, look forward to hearing all about it. Is it raining where you are? Happy New Year

  3. What fun to receive a Christmas greeting from Namibians. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

    1. And merry Christmas to you. I hope you and Theresa had a wonderful day. We were thinking of all of you!
